Louet Doppeltritt/ Double Treadle

Bei Ebay habe ich ein Louet Doppeltritt Spinnrad S 75 gesehen, aber es ist jetzt schon sauteuer. Mein Mann schaute sich die Fotos an und meinte: „Soll ich dir einen Doppeltritt an dein Spinnrad machen?“ Bei Louet hatte ich schon nachgefragt, einen Doppeltritt als Nachrüstsatz gibt es nicht zu kaufen. Jetzt wissen wir auch warum … es sieht ja im Prinzip alles gaaanz einfach aus, aber die Tücke liegt im Detail. Die Querstange zwischen den Trittbrettern setzt auf dem Boden auf, da müssen dann dei Füsse unterm Spinnrad leicht erhöht werden. Damit es vorne nicht zu hoch wird, steht dieses Spinnrad in Zukunft leicht nach vorne geneigt. Der Knecht passte in seiner Länge gar nicht mehr, da ist jetzt ein Buchenrundholz. Vielleicht kommt am oberen Ende noch eine Verzierung drauf. Vernünftiges Eichenholz zu bekommen ist fast unmöglich, deshalb sind die Trittbretter aus Mulitplexplatte.

Aber: Es hat sich gelohnt!!! Das Spinnrad tritt sich superleicht!!!!

I saw a Louet spinning wheel with double treadle on Ebay, I guess it will cost a hell of money in the end. My DH saw the photo and asked:“Shall I build a double treadle on your spinning wheel?“ I already maile dto Louet, asking if you can get the double treadle kit as accessoire, but it isn’t available. And now we know why … it looks as if it can be made easily, but that is completely different if you get to the details. The connecting rod between the treadles hits the ground, so you need a spacer between the backward rubber feet and the spinning wheel. So in the future the spinning wheel will be slightly inclined to the front, because it isn’t comfortable if you also mount spacers on the front side. The footman had to be renewed, it is a beech rod now, and the new treadles are made from multiplex, because it would be really hard to get some oak plates.

But: it was worth it!!!!!
