Mystic Light Wolle – wool

Gestern war wieder Spinntreffen bei mir, und ich habe endlich die orange Wolle für den Mystic Light fertig gesponnen.

Ich hatte ja schon einen Strang gesponnen, aber lockerer verzwirnt. Dieser Strang hier ist fester gewzirnt, wiegt 303 g passte locker auf eine Louetspule, es wäre noch mehr draufgegangen. Die Lauflänge des Strangs ist ca. 660 m. Die Wolle nimmt gerade ein Entspannungsbad.

Yesterday we had our spinning guild meeting at my home again and I finished spinning the wool for the Mystic Light KAL. I spun one strand earlier, but it was not twisted as tight as this one. This one weighs 303 g and has a length of approx. 660 metres, and the Louet bobbin was not yet completely filled when twisting it. Right now the strand is taking a relaxing bath.

Erneuerbare Energien:

Im Moment muss ich viel zeit in dieses Thema investieren und habe weniger Zeit, etwas mit/aus Wolle zu machen. Am Freitag haben wir den Auftrag für eine Photovoltaik-Anlage/Solarstrom vergeben, um aus Sonnenlicht Strom zu erzeugen. Nun muss erst einmal der Papierkram erledigt werden, da kommt so einiges zusammen, auch wenn wir nicht alles selber machen müssen, weil der Solarteur einen Teil übernimmt. Wenn alles glatt läuft und kein Amt, das für Genehmigungen zuständig ist, bummelt, dann könnte unsere Photovoltaikanlage in ca. einem Monat den ersten Strom ins Netz einspeisen. Ihr könnt uns also die Daumen drücken.

Das Projekt “wasserführender Kamin” dauert in der Umsetzung länger als geplant, aber wir sind noch dabei. Ich schätze, dass es noch ca. 6 Wochen dauert, bis der Kamin angeschlossen ist.

Renewable energies:

Right now working on this topic consumes much of my time, and so there is less time for working with wool. On Friday we made an order for a photovoltaics installation on our roof to generate electric current from sunlight. Now there is still a lot of paperwork to do for getting the permission to run our “power plant”. Some will be done by the contractor who will build our power plant, but there is still some paperwork left for us. If the permissions will be processed fast, we could deliver the first electric current to the power grid in about one month. So please press your thumbs that everything will go fast.

We are still working on the project of a “water-bearing fireplace boiler” as well, but it takes some more time than we estimtated at the start. I guess this project will be finished in about 6 weeks.
