I am quite new to lace. Would you mind explaining how you incorporated the extra bottom border to go around the corners? Did you just skip a few stitches here and there when you were picking up for the body?

Hi Dave,
skipping stiches would just make holes. I drew the new stitch/loop through two bumps, one after the other. With one extra repeat you have to do that five times on each side.
