Wolle im Urlaub – Wool in my holidays

Es waren recht ruhige und gemütliche Ferien. Ich habe viel gelesen, dabei kann man schön Socken stricken. Somit ist die selbstgefärbte Sockenwolle schon verstrickt

The holidays were quiet and relaxing. I read a lot and knitted socks while reading. The first pic shows selfdyed wool, the second predyed one.

Links knapp 300 Gramm und 1300 m, rechts 235 Gramm und 1120 m. außerdem habe ich noch eine Weste „Sissy“ für eine liebe Kollegin gestrickt, allerdings spannt die Weste gerade und die Knöpfe fehlen auch noch.

I partly spun the selfdyed superwash wool. To the left about 300 grams and 1300 metres, to the right 235 grams and 1120 metres. Additionally I knitted another vest „Sissy“ for a dear colleague, but the vest is still blocking and needs some buttons as well.

Blognapping

Ich bin aus dem Urlaub zurück. Leider wurde mein Blog „gehackt“ , „gebloggnappt“ und gelöscht. Immerhin habe ich den Blog und die Daten jetzt nach einigen Emails zum Support zurück, den Support bei WordPress muss man echt loben.

I am back from my holidays. Unfortunately my blog was hacked and blognapped and deleted. After some emails to the support team I got my blog and data back, the Support team was perfect.

Revontuli

Mit einem Revontuli verabschiede ich mich in die Sommerpause.

Spinnereien – some spinning

Endlich kann ich wieder gut am Spinnrad sitzen und spinnen. So ist mal wieder Wolle fertig geworden.

Links 400 g Merino-Seidenmischung vom Wollschaf, 1330 m Lauflänge, rechts 110 Gramm Evilla Vorgarn, mit Baumwolle 20/1 verzwirnt, 580 m.

Finally I can sit well again at my spinning wheel and spin. So I finished this wool: to the left 400 grams Merino-Silk Blend from Wollschaf, 1330 metres; to the right Evilla preyarn twisted with thin cotton yarn.

Zeit zu Färben – Time to Dye

Es war mal wieder an der Zeit zu Färben. Ich habe da so einige Ideen und habe zu meinen Ashfordfarben gegriffen. Hier das Ergebnis:

It was really time to dye. I have soem ideas in mind and played with my Ashford dye today. you can see the results above.

Sommerferien – Summer Holidays

Vor drei Tagen haben die Sommerferien angefangen. Erst war unklar, ob und wann wir wegfahren können. Ich hatte gestern noch eine Untersuchung in der Uniklinik Düsseldorf, weil eine OP-Wunde nicht so heilt, wie es am besten wäre.  Nun weiß ich, dass die Heilung voranschreitet und einem Urlaub nichts im Wege steht. Mein Mann hatte vor 11 Tagen die sechste Operation und ist nun auch wieder transportfähig. Wenn nun nichts mehr dazwischen kommt, geht es in drei Tagen ins Emsland, das wird uns gut tun. Eigentlich wären wir jetzt schon im Värmland in Schweden, aber es war schon Anfang März vor der fünten Operation klar, dass so ein weiter Urlaub in der jetzigen Situation nicht möglich ist, wir haben damals schon storniert.

Three days ago our summer holidays started. First it was not clear if we could go on a holiday. Yesterday I had another examiniation in the university hospital in Düsseldorf, because one wound of the surgery does not heal the way it should. Now I know that it will go on healing and we can go on a holiday. My husband had his sixth surgery 11 days ago and is now fit enough to endure a two and a half hours drive to our small summer house in Emsland. If everything goes fine, we will start in three days. Originally we planned to be in Sweden/Värmland right now, but it was already clear in the beginning of March with hubby’s fifth surgery that we would not be able to do such a long journey, so we cancelled the cottage in sweden in March.
