Wolliges Tagebuch – Wooly Diary

Hier ist eine unglaubliche Verführung, was Schokolade angeht: Rumtrüffel mit Schafsmilch. Die gibt es auf Nachfrage bei meiner Freundin Sanne zu kaufen. (auch Versand) . Ich hatte letzten Sonntag ein Päckchen zum Spinntreffen für das Geburtstagskind mitgenommen, und sie hat eine Runde geschmissen. Man konnte sehen, wie bei den anderen Spinnerinnen von nur einer Rumkugel so nach und nach der Schoko-Kick einsetzte.  Alle waren begeistert, man kann diese Köstlichkeit nur weiterempfehlen. Sanne entwickelt immer neue Trüffel und Pralinen mit Schafsmilch.

Here is an incredible treat in the world of chocolate: truffles with sheep milk and rum.  You can buy them from my friend Sanne (also mail order, truffles on special demand, just send an email).  I took a parcel to our spinning meeting last Sunday and gave it to the birthday spinner. She offered one to everybody, and you could see the chocoltae kick starting on everybody after a while. They all liked it a lot, this special treat can only be highly recommended.  Sanne is currently inventing more and more recipes for truffles and pralines that contain sheep milk.

Ich stricke gerade an der Sustrum Jacke.  Und nein, die Farben sind nicht so grell, das ist wieder das Rot-Problem der Digicam. Die Farben sind eher Beerenfarben.

I am knitting on the Sustrum Jacket. And no, the colours are not as screaming as they seem to be. That is again the problem of the digicam concerning the colour red. The colours are more like berry colours.

Dorothea aus unserer Spinngruppe hatte ein besonderes Geburtstagsgeschenk für mich. Sie ließ bei Sauerlandwolle drei Vliese Blauwe Texelaar für mich waschen und kardieren.  Vor drei Tagen kam das Paket mit den fertig kardierten Vliesen an. Die Katzen müssten natürlich sofort ihre Arbeit als Wolltester aufnehmen. Ich denke man sieht, dass die Wolle den Test bestanden hat.

Dorothea from our spinning group had a special birthday present for me. She let Sauerlandwolle wash and card three Blauwe texelaar fleeces for me.  Three days ago the parcel with the carded fleeces arrived.  The cats had to start there work immediately to do their job as wool testers. I think you can see they approved the quality of the wool.
