Der Denar Loop, besonders geeignet für Männer, ist von der Romanfigur Denar, dem Freund von Ayane in dem Elfen-Fantasyroman „Ayane und das Geheimnis der Glückselfen“ von Ann-Cathrin May inspiriert. Es werden weitere Bücher der Glückselfen-Saga folgen.

Diese Anleitung enthält sowohl eine Strickschrift als auch eine schriftliche Anleitung für jede einzelne Runde. Der Musterrapport ist nur vier Runden lang, so ist der Loop leicht zu stricken, auch für Strickerinnen, die vorher noch kein Zopfmuster gestrickt haben.

The Denar Cowl, especially suitable for men, is inspired by the fictional character Denar, the friend of Ayane in the fairy fantasy book “Ayane und das Geheimnis der Glückselfen” by Ann-Cathrin May. There will be more books in the Glückselfen Saga.

This pattern contains a chart as well as a written pattern of the chart for every single round. The pattern is formed by the simple repeat of 4 rounds, which makes the cowl an easy knit, even for those who have never tried knitting a cable before.

Stiches used in this pattern: knit, purl, 2/2RC cable

Materials: 
Bobbel (yarn cake), pure merino, 4-ply, 550 m / 150 g; circular or DPN needles 3.5 mm (US4), 1 cable needle (cn); 1 stitch marker

Den Mützenloop Prisca (auch Mützenschal oder Snood genannt) gibt es in zwei Varianten. Beide sind tolle Begleiter für die kalte Jahreszeit.
Variante 1 wird nur in Runden gestrickt. Variante 2 ist im unteren Bereich offen und wird zunächst in Reihen gestrickt, so entsteht eine dekorative Ecke vorne und hinten in der Mitte, die ihn zusätzlich aufpeppt. Oben wird auch diese Variante in Runden gestrickt.
Prisca sitzt halsfern und engt somit nicht ein. Nur als Loop getragen wärmt er wunderbar den Hals. Wenn es kalt wird, kann man ihn über die Ohren ziehen und er wärmt wunderbar wie eine Mütze.
Die Anleitung enthält Strickschriften und schriftliche Anleitungen für jede einzelne Reihe oder Runde.

The Prisca cowl (some might call it a snood) comes in two versions. Both are great companions for the cold season of the year. 
Version 1 is only knit in rounds. Version 2 is open at the bottomand starts with rows that form decorative corners in the middle of your front and back, which makes it even more attractive. The top of version 2 is knit in rounds as well.
This cowl does not hug the neck too closely, so you do not feel as if it is choking you. When it gets cold, you can draw it upwards and over your ears and warm your complete head with it.
The pattern contains charts as well as a written pattern for every single row or round.

Hier findet man die Anleitung für das Lebenswege Tuch.

Der Lebenswege Cowl greift das Muster des Tuchs Lebenswege auf. Das Tuch symbolisiert die Lebenswege, die sich oft kreuzen und winden. Und auch beim Cowl teilen sich ganz zum Schluss die Zöpfe wieder zu neuen Zöpfen auf. Oder eben neuen Wegen oder auch neuen Chancen im Leben. Diese enden erst mit unserem letzten Atemzug.
Mein Lieblingsgedicht ist übrigens „Stufen“ von Hermann Hesse.

Der Rapport im Halsteil des Cowls hat nur 4 Maschen. So kann man den Cowl auf jede beliebige Größe und auf jedes Garn anpassen. Umrechnungsbeispiele gibt es am Schluss der Anleitung.

The Lebenswege cowl (Lebenswege – paths of life) picks up the pattern of the Lebenswege shawl. That shawl symbolizes the paths of life. The paths you can take in life are often unpredictable. They twist and turn. And on this cowl too, the cables separate themselves to new cables in the end. Or just new paths and new chances in life. Those only end when you take your last breath.
By the way, my favourite poem is “Stufen” (Steps) by Hermann Hesse.
The repeat in the neck part of the cowl is only 4 stitches. Thus, you can adjust the cowl to any size and any yarn. How to adjust it as well as examples for calculations are at the end of this pattern. You will find detailed instructions with charts and written patterns to the charts (7 pages).

Der Columbine Cowl ist ein vielseitiges Accessoire, das jede Strickerin begeistern wird. Ein Cowl kann elegant sein, mit Lacewolle und Perlen gestrickt, ein anderer warm und kuschelig mit dickerer Wolle gestrickt. Und all das mit nur einer Anleitung.
Wenn es kalt wird und die Ohren frieren kann man den Halsteil des Cowls auch über die Ohren ziehen.
Das Muster ist schnell gestrickt und dennoch abwechslungsreich, man strickt bis auf den Spitzenrand nur in jeder vierten Reihe Lochmuster. Die anderen drei Reihen werden einfach glatt rechts gestrickt.

 Der Welcome Cowl (Loop) ist ein kuscheliger Halswärmer, den ich entworfen habe, um etwas Schönes und Wärmendes für Flüchtlinge zu stricken. Das Muster ist einfach und strickt sich schnell, man kann es sich leicht merken und es wird trotzdem beim Stricken nicht langweilig. Ein spezieller Anschlag und spezielles Abketten stellen sicher, dass der Rand elastisch ist, aber nicht wellig. Zweimal um den Hals gewickelt kann man den Cowl als Schal und Mütze gleichzeitig verwenden, auch die Ohren werden warm gehalten.

The Welcome Cowl is a cosy neckwarmer that I designed because I needed something nice and warm to give for refugees. The pattern is easy and fast to knit, easy to remember and still does not get boring when knitted. A special cast on and bind off ensure that the edges are elastic, but not floppy. Wound around your neck twice, you can use the cowl as scarf and hat at the same time, keeping your ears warm as well.

Dieser Loop wurde zunächst 2014 in dem E-Book Krimi „Wiekenmord” von Susanne Ptak veröffentlicht.

Diese Anleitung enthält sowohl Grafiken, als auch eine schriftliche Anleitung.

Ostfriesland kennt man als grünes Land. Wenn man Farben mischt, entsteht Grün aus Gelb und Blau. Wie in Ostfriesland. Sonne und Licht werden mit Gelb symbolisiert, Wasser mit Blau. Und Wasser ist das Element, das dafür sorgt, dass Ostfriesland so grün ist. Eine vermeintlich endlos grüne Fläche ist von Gräben und Kanälen durchzogen. Hier in Ostfriesland heißen sie Wieken. Oft sind damit auch die Hauptwieken gemeint, die das Wasser der Gräben aufnehmen und zu größeren Kanälen hin weiterleiten.
In Jheringsfehn (Ort der Handlung des Krimis) münden vier Wieken in die Westerwieke. Was bei diesem Loop zunächst wie eine verwirrende Vielfalt an Lochmusterstreifen wirkt, entpuppt sich auf den zweiten Blick als System von kleinen Lochmusterstreifen, die mit größeren Lochmusterstreifen verbunden sind. Wie die vier Wieken in Jheringsfehn, die aus unzähligen Gräben gespeist werden. So, wie man bei Ostfriesland eben erst auf den zweiten Blick erspäht, dass es aus ganz viel Wasser besteht. Ein Loop ist endlos. Ein Kreislauf, der dem ewigen, endlosen Kreislauf von Wolken, Regen und Wasser nicht unähnlich ist.

Viel Spaß beim Stricken dieses kleinen Stückchens Ostfriesland.

This cowl (German: Loop) was first published in 2014 in the German mystery e-book „Wiekenmord” by Susanne Ptak.

East Frisia is known as a green land. When mixing colours, green is produced by mixing yellow and blue. As in East Frisia. Sun and light are symbolized with the colour yellow, water with blue. Water is the element that makes sure that East Frisia is so green. A seemlingly endless green area is, in fact, pervaded by ditches and canals. In East Frisia, canals are called “Wieken”. Often that name is used for main canals that take up the water of many ditches and transport it to bigger channels.
In Jheringsfehn (location of the mystery), four Wieken flow into the Westerwieke. What seems to be a confusing pattern of lace stripes in this loop at first glance, turns out to be a system of small lace stripes which are connected to bigger lace stripes at second glance. Like the four Wieken in Jherningsfehn, which are fed from countless ditches. In the same way as you realize, on second glance, that East Frisia consists of a lot of water. The loop is endless. Like a cycle which can be compared to the eternal, endless cycle of clouds, rain and water.

Have fun knitting this small piece of East Frisia.

Aconitum Loop

Die Anleitung für den Aconitum Loop war für ein Jahr nur in dem Ostfriesland-Krimi „Hexenmord“ von Susanne Ptak erhältlich.

Nun ist die Anleitung auch einzeln erhältlich, aber natürlich nach wie vor auch in dem Buch.

Aconitum ist die Pflanze Eisenhut, mit filigranen grünen Blättern und knubbeligen dunkelblauen Blüten. Diese Besonderheiten wurden in dieser Anleitung aufgegriffen und in einen ungewöhnlichen Loop umgesetzt.

The pattern of the Aconitum Loop was only available in the East Frisian Mystery „Hexenmord“ by Susanne Ptak.

Now, you can also buy the single pattern, but it is also still in that mystery e-book (but only in German).

Aconitum is the plant monkshood, with delicate green leaves and knobby dark blue blossoms. Those peculiarities were picked up in this pattern and transformed into this unusual loop.
